Timely Thoughts?

A few days ago there was a Facebook post by a man I know that said, in part:

“When hate filled violence of ANY sort is considered justified, we are in serious trouble. When public leaders at any level don’t condemn ALL violence, the trouble is even worse. It’s called ‘inviting’ anarchy to rule the nation. Folk’s, it’s happening.”

One commenter posted this:

“Sad, but very true. Do you see hope or despair on the horizon?”

This was the reply to that comment:

“I see both in the pages of scripture. Lawlessness will wax worse and worse, but Christ will continue to save his people from their sins of that they can be lights in ever increasing darkness.”

What are your thoughts?

  1. Dan, I’ve kept this post open in my reader to think before responding. The Lord asked whether He, the Son of Man, will find faith on the earth when He returns. Was this an indictment, a prophecy, a motivator? My own understanding is that the days will be increasingly dark and then He will appear. What are your thoughts?

        • 2 Thess 2 also speaks of the great falling away. What the Bible does not teach is a great end times revival like many today do, although we do properly pray for revival. My revival for revival is that the true gospel again be preached in many churches where a counterfeit one has taken it’s place.

              • Good morning, Dan!

                Just also remembering this,

                Romans 11
                25 For I do not desire, brethren, that you should be ignorant of this mystery, lest you should be wise in your own opinion, that blindness in part has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in. 26 And so all Israel will be saved, as it is written:
                “The Deliverer will come out of Zion,
                And He will turn away ungodliness from Jacob;
                27 For this is My covenant with them,
                When I take away their sins.”

                This is revival we can look for but the Church needs the reformation you speak of, the true Gospel preached again.

    • Definitely before the second coming and final judgment. Will we see a large number of Jews recognize Christ in a relatively short period? I don’t know, but if we do, it could be that lifting of the veil. Some will, and maybe are trying to nail it, but me. Too much gospel preaching still to be done.
