This came to me by way of a friend:
“Oh that Christians would learn to censure less and pray more and instead of speaking OF one another speak more TO one another and one FOR another…. But now the tender praying, healing, restoring spirit is departed and if Christians stir not up themselves to call it back again it is a sad sign that God is departing….
- We judge before we inquire.
- We reject before we admonish.
- We conclude vain assumptions upon our brethren before we come to them as Christians and fellow members.
We think this well becomes us as we take a kind of pride and contentment in it, but oh to inform, to convince, to exhort, to pray, this is to act like the disciples of Christ. This is to show ourselves Christians in deed, professors not of the letter but of the spirit that would gain our brothers instead of blasting them.”
– Thomas Case (1598-1862)
“By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.” – Jesus
Dan, the reminder to pray is very much needed. Rebuke is also needed for the purpose of restoration.

And if we rebuke someone we had better be sure we have ALL our ducks in row. Many in this one have not.

Dan, James White has told Chris Arnzen that he and Qadhi plan to have a “Tube” channel together.

So what? If it’s for the purpose of sharing differences and similarities between Islam and Christianity (like Memphis), or even debating (formally or informally) I don’t have an issue. It might not be something I would do, but I cannot condemn it.

No, Dan, it means they’re cooperating on a long-term project. Where does the prohibition against being unequally yoked together begin to be valid?

Depends on the project. I don’t know where the line would be crossed, and my opinion might be valid, but it might not be.
