“For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.”
(Romans 1:16)
Paul
“Therefore do not be ashamed of the testimony about our Lord, nor of me his prisoner, but share in suffering for the gospel by the power of God. . . which is why I suffer as I do. But I am not ashamed, for I know whom I have believed, and I am convinced that he is able to guard until that Day what has been entrusted to me. Follow the pattern of the sound words that you have heard from me, in the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus. By the Holy Spirit who dwells within us, guard the good deposit entrusted to you.
(2 Timothy 1:8, 12)
Paul
“For whoever is ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation, of him will the Son of Man also be ashamed when he comes in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.”
(Mark 8:38)
Jesus
The Lord has been sending this verse to me from many sources lately, and thanks Born4Battle, this is a Word in season for me. Just yesterday I had a confrontation with my dad concerning his Roman Catholicism and I had to tell him in no uncertain terms that the Roman Church was the ‘Road to Hell’! And he wound up calling me an Antichrist! But I am used to this . . . . “It is enough for the disciple that he be as his master, and the servant as his lord. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebub, how much more shall they call them of his household”? [Matt 10:25]
I am sharing this to mention that while we are in the business of preaching the truth, it is necessary to also expose the lie. Or if like Billy Graham we get folks to pray a prayer and send them back to the Catholic ‘Church’, then we have done more damage than good!

You are quite right. The light always exposes darkness and it can be quite the challenge to ‘tell the truth in love’.
