    Seeing the phrase “God gave them up” used twice in this passage, and “God gave them over” to me is more drawing on the fact that there is God-given intuitive knowledge inside of every person that would prevent him from committing such depraved acts to begin with. We do have choice, but God will not continue to force restraint on us against our will.

    When God turns an individual over to a reprobate mind, they don’t lose their knowledge of right and wrong, just God’s conviction about it. That’s where I think people get a little mixed up.

  2. That’s an interesting point, Deb. It sounds like you are saying that when God gives a person over there is still knowledge of right and wrong but no conscience kicking in when a person does wrong, because all the sinful desires and lusts that come with being fallen from the womb pretty much take over.
