“Do not judge according to appearance, but judge with righteous judgment” (John 7:24)
He who justifies the wicked, and he who condemns the just, both of them alike are an abomination to the LORD” (Proverbs 17:15).
“And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them” (Ephesians 5:11).
But, would you agree that there IS a place and time for righteous judgement as 1Cor 5 talks about? This is a great blog, I will visit again! 🙂

Absolutely, Judy! We are not to judge hypocritically, but we are commended to be “judgmental” in several areas. that’s another whole blog post!

Good morning. Great scripture references. The need for discernment in these days is profound; especially in light of such scriptures as Matthew 24:24 and II Thessalonians chapter 2. Tragically there seems to be an astonishing lack of discernment in many circles these days.
Blessings always in Jesus name.

Timbob, Greetings!
You’re absolutely right about the tragic lack of discernment skills these days. I could have done a much longer post about judging rightly, but I wanted folks first just consider scripture and listen to the Holy Spirit as he speaks through the written word.
